Writing Sample (minimum of 100 words and must be in third-person format)

Looking at her friends who were gathered in the coffee shop, Jubilee grinned and laughed as Jono cracked another joke. Nodding her head, she looked at the computer in front of herself. She had been working on her website: useyourvoice.org to voice her opinions on what was going on with the depowered mutants of the world and wasn't surprised to see several hate message in the in-box.

Sighing and not even bothering to check them out, she quickly clicked the link that said to delete all messages and watched as they vanished from the screen. She had recently gotten her powers back and therefore was considered no longer depowered. When Logan had found out that she had gotten her powers back, he insisted that she return back to the mansion for testing from Dr. Hank McCoy.

Declining the notion, she said that she was please with her new life. She didn't have to fight anymore...she was now a student at the local college and she was now free to come and go as she wished without any threat to her life. No one really knew that she had gotten her powers back except for Logan and some of the other X-Men. Scott was once again being a hard-ass and had even threatened to send someone after her to get her to the mansion for testing. After threatening that if he did, she would go straight to his office and send several fiery bursts of energy at him, he finally back off and let her do her own thing.

Smiling and seeing an e-mail from Logan stating that Scott was again angry at him for something. Shaking her head, she closed her laptop and turned to Jono and Paige and grinned "Some things apparently never change."
